IEEE Women in Engineering Society of Manipal University Jaipur collaborated with Coding Blocks to host an online workshop on Data Science - Face Detection on 19th August from 8pm to 9pm. The workshop was conducted by Coding Blocks mentor, Mohit Uniyal. 

 The workshop started off with introduction to basics of Python and its application in Data Science and Machine Learning. It proceeded with explanation of advanced python libraries like NumPy and Matplotlib, after which a model for Face Detection was rendered and tested. 

 The workshop was a successful one with over 600 attendees, who were given hands on training on how to build a face detection model. The mentor was extremely patient in answering all the doubts, and also covered some extra topics in Python which benefitted all the attendees. The workshop was a great starting point for implementing bigger projects in the upcoming field of Machine Learning and Data Science, and will surely help us in taking up more initiatives in the future as well.
