IEEE Women in Engineering MUJ, in collaboration with GirlScript Jaipur conducted a webinar on “Roadmap to Competitive Programming” on 24th January 2021. Kashish Gupta, an Incoming Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, and 4-star coder on CodeChef shared her journey of competitive programming, and some useful tips on cracking interviews and participating in online challenges.

 The event started off with discussing the importance of Competitive coding, and how it builds one’s analytical skills and boosts concentration. The key is finding the most optimal solution in the least possible time. Some important topics for Competitive programming, starting from the very basics like Sorting and Searching, right till Dynamic programming were discussed. Then she proceeded to discuss online platforms for coding challenges. The event concluded with an interactive round of question/answers where all queries of the participants were answered.

 The webinar was a complete success with a registration count of over 500 students, who gained all important information about competitive programming.
